Mendocino Barkery
With over 20 years in the
pet and large animal
business, we wanted to
open a store for people
that understood that our
animals weren't just "dogs
and cats", but our kids.
We only carry holistic and
or all natural/organic
foods and treats. If I
wouldn't give it to my
"kids" I won't sell it in
the store. Want generic
food? Sorry, don't have
it. Looking for rawhide
chews? Nope! I don't
think they are safe. I
work closely with
veterinarians on foods
and supplies that are not
only good tasting, but
good for your pets.

Who We Are:
I graduated from Cal Poly
San Luis Obispo with a
degree in Agriculture
Science. Right after
graduation, I went to work
selling a premium pet food. I
spent eight years studying
pet nutrition and sales with
that company. (If you have
any nutrition questions, I
promise that I can put you to
sleep.)
Since then I have sold
everything from cat collars
to John Deere Tractors, but
my heart is always with the
animals.

I graduated from the school
of hard knocks when a stupid
old cow broke my back leg at
ten weeks old ( I just wanted
to see the new calf!) and I
had to spend the next few
months sitting on laps and not
moving around much (that is a
tough job for a terrier pup).
After my leg healed I went
on to get my Masters in cat
chasing along with a specialty
in tennis balls.
I now work at the Barkery
everyday where my main job
is product testing. (And
keeping Sophie that dumb
poodle pup in line.)
